I have over 20 years of professional experience in social services. My background includes person-centered planning for older adults and adults with disabilities. I am skilled at working collaboratively with support networks to meet the goals and care needs of individuals. Much of my career has been in leadership positions which provided me the opportunity to problem-solve on the most complex situations. I graduated from UW Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed two years of study in Professional Counseling. My husband and I have two amazing children. We volunteer for a foster-based dog rescue organization and our local fire department.

I have been a licensed Social Worker in the field of gerontology since 1987. My entire career has been focused on assisting the elderly in the long term care, assisted living, hospice and care management settings. Much of my training and experience has been in the care and treatment of individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. Through the years, I have gained much experience and knowledge with accessing available community resources for client's and their family members. I have had the privilege of being with the Gericare team since 2007. I am married and have two grown children and have resided in Washington County for many years.
STEFANIE BENNING, RN

I have been a RN for 25 years and involved in health care for 31 years. I have worked in all aspects of nursing including home health, hospice, assisted living and hospital based nursing. I really enjoy taking care of people and being an advocate for them. I joined Gericare in 2019. I am rooted in the community and have worked with all facets of care within our community. I am married with 3 children, 2 teenage boys and one daughter in college.

My late wife Judith Phillips started Gericare of West Bend and now I help run it, doing the office work to support our team and clients.
JUDITH PHILLIPS
Founder, 1998 - 2020
Judy Phillips established GeriCare of West Bend, LLC in 1998 and was well known throughout the community as an advocate for the elderly populations of Ozaukee and Washington Counties in Wisconsin. She passed away in late 2020 but her legacy lives on.
